In quietness and trust is your strength
There are times when it is difficult being a woman… a wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend. We pray for discernment as we choose between silence and speaking boldly. When the unexpected closes in on us, we struggle with the need to push through the crowds and stay on the path before us. Persistent in our need to protect and find a way through the chaos, we move forward. We want to fix things and long to touch the hem of His garment. ( Mark 5:21-34) Impatient with His timing, we want to make things happen and pray for healing to come quickly. Mothers of Hope, we are lovers, caregivers, menders, healers, listeners, and counselors. Our first instinct is to act!
Sitting does not come easy as we watch the clock tick and we agonize over what has taken place. We mark the days and pray through the hard, looking for signs of His presence. We seek His understanding, listen for His voice, and we wait. Although He is silent, we know that we are not alone.
Jesus sees us through the crowds as we pursue Him and He is aware of our inner struggles as we sit silently before Him. We are not forgotten as everything presses in around us. He stops and turns towards us;we matter to Him. His words heal as he speaks to us… peace will come. It takes great faith to trust…to act or sit….to be a mother. In quietness and trust is my strength!

It is hard to sit–but in sitting we trust–because we sit waiting for Him to act–because we trust His action more than we trust our own–which is a strength to behold. As you sit know many sit beside you!
On the night of Jesus’ betrayal, He must have felt alone. He asked His closest disciples–Peter, James, and John—to come apart and pray with Him in those last hours. But every time He came back to check on them–they were sleeping. Jesus was experiencing a great spiritual battle and extreme pressure that night. His three closest disciples were not found faithful. BUT when Jesus could find no one to stand with Him in His hour of need, God provided supernatural assistance!!!Luke 22:43 says, “And there appeared an angel unto Him from heaven, strengthening him.” This supernatural strength made up for any lack of support from His three closest friends. God is surrounding you with the Holt Spirit’s power, with angels, and with anything else you need to keep going forward. God is absolutely committed to seeing you through the situation you are facing. And,if necessary, He will provide supernatural assistance to recharge-reframe you and keep you moving full steam ahead. I know it! Look up to the One who provides–not outward.
