Arise and Build

“Let us arise and build”~Nehemiah 2:18

The sun and warm breeze is deceptive against the red tide. I walk slow to avoid the slimy green that entangles and the bones that pierce. The stench is overwhelming.

God steadies my feet and strengthens my soul.      Rise. Return. Rebuild.

Remember.

Lament the loss. Mourn what has been taken.  Make a private assessment -consider the ruins,  the burnt gates, broken doors, and crumbled walls, and then strengthen your defense. Guard your home and efforts. Take hold of Truth and re-frame your history.

Pray. Fast. Step up.

Cover your work with prayer. Seek God first. Early. Gather as one to engage with God in ministry. Close the gap- rebuild side-by-side. And He will deliver and restore  in His perfect time. He doesn’t leave us in the wilderness.

Wear the cloak of humility.

God opposes the proud, cross, short-tempered, and stubborn ones, and He silences the wicked. They are not fit for their homes or community. So, repent and remember how far He’s brought you. It is only by His grace that we’ve endured.

Thank you, Jesus, that you don’t leave us as you found us!

We will sing a new song,

Lily Mae
