We can count on our God…he is a solid Foundation! In his strength I will climb over all that is scary. Just remembering our hike this summer near Bar Harbor, Maine. I’m so afraid of mountain heights and I hate the unknown. My palms were sweaty during this entire morning hike as we climbed over huge boulders at the waters edge. We thought we were lost for a while and at times the steep climb threatened to bring me to a standstill. I so wanted to turn around and go back…that is how it is in life sometimes. We want to give up when all seems uncertain. When God calls us to come out into wide open spaces, we often want to retreat into hiding. Ah…our God does know what he is doing! He has strategically placed great encouragers beside us on this journey! He has given me a traveling companion that wouldn’t let me turn around and be defeated by fears! We kept going on this exhilarating climb and it was well worth the view! I may doubt and I may fear, but with God I can continue to climb! I’m walking forward in faith … looking forward to see what lies ahead!
